Ray Sills

14th November 1928 - 30th March 2006

Mayor of Luton 1992-1993
Arts for Labour Treasurer, Trustee and Founder-Member

Ray Sills was a long-standing supporter of the arts, in particular music, and a sterling supporter of Arts for Labour. He served as AfL Treasurer for over twenty years and helped at all our Fringe events and formal meetings. Ray provided wise councelling and was a strong factor in maintaining the professionalism of our organisation. He also found time for exemplary work with organisations such as the Eastern Orchestral Board and served as a Labour councillor in Luton for many years. He will be sorely missed.

The Arts for Labour office group has met and decided to find a way to mark the contribution of Ray to our organisation in due course.
